CT sean revealed multiple brain cysts. A craniotomy with microsurgical excisron was performed, with favorable postoperative outcomes. Neurocysticercosis is a parasitic infection of the central nervous system, prevalent in rural regions of developing countries. Management depends on the stage and location of the cysts. This case highlights the importance of timely diagnosis and individualized treatment, as well as the need to strengthen health surveillance programs in endemic areas such as southern Peru.
