EditorialAbstract
Medicine, as a constantly developing and changing science, demands that the acquisition of medical knowledge be based solely on scientific research. The technological evolution of recent years has driven an unprecedented advance in scientific and biological research, resulting in better diagnoses and more efficient costs.
The answer to the multiple health problems that surround us, from prevention to diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, lies solely in health research and in approaches such as evidence-based medicine, initiated by David Sackett in 1996. This is based on the observation and constancy of evident facts in the practice of health sciences, and today it is related to other areas such as cellular biology, bioengineering or quantum mechanics, which will mark the future of humanity through regenerative, integrative or non-conventional medicine.
