PERCEPCIÓN ESTÉTICA DE LA SONRISA CON RESPECTO A LA LÍNEA MEDIA, MARGEN GINGIVAL Y EXPOSICIÓN GINGIVAL EN ODONTÓLOGOS DEL CERCADO DE TACNA2023

Abstract

Introduction: The main objective of this research study was to determine the aesthetic perception of the smile with respect to the midline, gingival margin and gingival exposure in Dentistas del Cercado de Tacna, 2023. Methodology: The type of research was
observational, prospective, transversal and descriptive. The sample was made up of 119 dental surgeons. A questionnaire that
evaluated the perception of aesthetics through the Visual Analog Scale was used as instruments. Results: The results were that, in
the aesthetic perception of the smile according to midline and gingival exposure, the majority of dentists perceived moderately attractive with 52.9%, followed by not very attractive with 40.3%, not at all attractive 4.2 % and finally attractive 2.5%. Conclusion: Although the dentists presented an acceptable assessment, the patient's opinion must be taken into account before any treatment.
